"And they were saying, 'How are memories formed?' 'Memories are formed when you resonate with an idea, with an experience, with an event that pushes you outside of your boundaries, or introduces you to something totally new that you didn't expect.'"


The hotel group, AMAN, they describe making memories, and how they understand their customers so well, that they reverse-engineer the memories for them, as in, they know what time they wake up, they know when they have their coffee, they know when the sun rises, they know when they leave the space, and they know when they return.


And in those moments of knowing, they attempt to make a memory. "In the process of doing that, that 1 second moment of opening your eyes, and seeing the sun come through the curtains, or seeing the mist in the water - that single moment , if done right, can possibly last 5 years.


And that just blew my mind.
